My ideal job

Hello again! In this time we must write about our ideal job.

First, I have to mention that I want to dedicate to keep and heal for small animals such as dogs and cats and after become a specialist in exotic animals as I had written in previous blogs sessions.

My ideal jobs (I wrote JOBS due to I want to have two kinds of jobs for my two career´s fields: small animals clinic and exotics animals) would be to work in a prestigious clinic of small animals in Santiago that is the place where I live, and when I become a specialist in exotics animals I would to work in differents places of Chile and around the world keeping and healing zoo animals that are removed of its original environment and also cure or heal some animals at its original environment for example at the jungle or in the fields of Chile.

With respect the people I would like to work with, I think that would be good do it with some college friend that have same labor interests because I have been knowing them and I believe that it would do the things easier than to work with people I have never met.

I´m sure that this kind of work that I want to perform would make me happy because I have always wanted to interact with small animals and wild- exotics animals in order to Veterinary Medicine help them to reach its welfare and defend them of the animal abuse. I think if we save and keep exotics animals we are saving the most beatiuful an diverse of the earth planet and also y think the pets are sometimes a important support for the human beings, they have a lot of love to give us. Veterinary medine is a career that not only veil for animal welfare, also educates human beings about the value of the animal diversity and helps them to improve their quality of life.

Finally in my ideal jobs also I would like to work from monday to friday ( when I work in a small animals clinic) from about 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and I thimk if I have a boss, while she/he is nice and pays well I will not be worry about it. When I work with exotics animals I would have a team work in which we manage our hours and way of work.

My favourite career`s subject

Hello! In this time I am going to write about my favourite career`s subject... That is Animal Physiology. Animal Physiology, from the greek physis (nature) and logos (knowledge), studies the functions of the animal organism. For example, Anatomy studies the form of the organs and their ubications and relationships with the others, in contrast Physiology studies the functions that perform this organs and the molecular and biological-cellular mechanisms by wich these functions are performed.

In this University Animal Physiology is a curricular space of the career of Veterinary Medicine that is divided in two units: Physiology I and Physiology II and both units are dictated respectively in the first and second semester of the second year of the career. Theoretical classes are dictated every monday from the 9:00 AM to 12:50 PM with different teachers for each class topic, but always the classes finish before. When there is an activity of journal club or practical lessons, these are performed in the afternoon from 14:45 to 17:30.

My two main reasosns Animal Physiology is my favourite career`s subject is first that I always wanted to know how an organism can perform functions as breathing, see, hear,move, etc. and second because I like to study the molecular and biological-cellular mechanisms that mediate in the functions of the animal organism , also I beleive that this is not difficult for me...

The bull´s revenge

His name is Sebastian Jiménez Evans but usually called LINDORFO , he is a veterinarian specialist in exotic animals. He was born in Chile on april 16th, 1971. He got married on july, 2004 with Carolina Gobantes with which now has three children.

He works as a veterinarian in the clinical veterinary hospital Global Vet and due to he is specialist in exotic animals he also works in some national zoos. However, from some time ago he work in television in a morning program and now is the host of a program about animals called ANIMALES where he and others veterinarians show surgeries to animals, cases of animal abuse, etc.

With respect to the question: Why I Like him /her? I don´t like him as a television person; I´d not like work in television. The reason why I chose him as a expert in my fiedl that I admire was because he is a very good veterinarian and I would like become a specialist in exotic animals, besides of I dedicate to small animals clinic. I believe that despite he has become a public person he is a referent to follow as a veterinarian.
